I took the train to Hof HaCarmel yesterday with my younger daughter, Dalia. It’s a magical beach in Haifa where Mount Carmel meets the Mediterranean Sea. Eliyahu HaNavi’s cave is nearby. He had an exquisite view.
We ate dinner at a kosher restaurant on the beach and video chatted with my older daughter, Ariella, who is still in the U.S.
It has been challenging living as a Jewish woman on this earth. There’s been pain and also healing. I want to honor the women who came before me-Chaya Leah, Sadie, Adina, Leah, Katy… our matriarchs, Sarah, Rivkah, Leah and Mama Rachel, whose kever we visited recently.
Making Aliyah and coming to our homeland has helped me see how prophecy is literally coming to life. There’s radiant light awaiting all of us—internally and externally. We just have to turn towards it.
Thank you, Hashem, for bringing us back to the Promised Land.
You open Your hand,
and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Psalm 145:16
